Intensive German Courses
Logik Sprachzentrum offers Intensive German language courses to students who would like to study at undergraduate level in Germany. It is essential that the student is regular once he is enrolled for the course and does not miss his lessons. Intensive courses at Logik Sprachzentrum have higher grammar content in the language syllabus designed to prepare you for the university entrance examinations and studienkolleg entrance examinations from day one. Logik Sprachzentrum has already prepared more than 500 students for their language courses. The duration of each level intensive course is 8 weeks and consists of 120 Teaching hours where 1 Teaching hour is 60 minutes.
Among other things, students taking part in the Intensive German courses must understand that the courses are fast paced and at least regular 3-4 hours of serious self study at home is required to succeed in our Intensive German courses. If you are not prepared or committed to allocate the required number of hours, it does not make much sense to join our Intensive German courses. Moreover, students who want to study an undergraduate degree in Germany must understand that they will have to take an entrance examination upon arriving in Germany for which an excellent knowledge and a very good proficiency in German will be required. This is not possible without regular and serious learning habits. Our intensive German courses are designed to help you achieve the best possible German language skills in the shortest possible period of time so that you are well prepared to study in Germany.
We offer Intensive German courses upto B2 level, however admissions upto B1 level are regularly advertised but the B2 course is subject to the demand and number of students who have successfully passed the B1 level course.

Intensive German Course A1
This course is designed for complete beginners or beginners with some previous knowledge of German language. The course ends with Start Deutsch 1 examination. This course contains the most fundamental Grammatik structure right from the start and encompasses all other language skills such as reading, writing, listening and speaking. The course consists of 120 teaching units or 8 weeks.
Intensive German Course A2
Intensive German Course A2 is designed for students who have completed Intensive German course A1 with us and passed Start Deutsch 1 Examination with at least 70% marks. The course has a good amount of Grammatik Structures and Vocabulary content and involves the preparation of Start Deutsch 2 Examination upon the completion of the course.
Intensive German Course B1
Intensive German Course B1 is designed for students who have completed Intensive German course A2 with us and passed Start Deutsch 2 Examination with at least 70% marks or qualified with our internal examination. The course initially prepares students with in-depth knowledge of Grammatical structures The course has good amount of Grammatik Structures and Vocabulary content and other general German language skills and later half of the course is dedicated towards simulated Modelltest of Goethe Zertifikat B1 to prepare you for Goethe Zertifikat B1 Examination.
Intensive German Course B2
German Course B2 is designed for our internal students who have passed Goethe Zertifikat B1 with good marks. Intensive German Course B2 prepares students to use advanced grammatical structures and advanced skills required for the entrance examination of the Studienkolleg. The course consists of 200 teaching units. Either Aspekte or Erkundungen books are used during the course.
FAQs Intensive German Courses
1. I have just passed 10+2 and I am planning to study in Germany. How many months of German language must I learn in order to be eligible to study in Germany?
If you are planning to study for a Bachelor degree in a German taught program in Engineering, Medicine or Business administration, you must learn German language course at least for 6 months and pass B1 level examination before you can apply for university places in Germany. If you need in-depth counseling for studying in Germany, please feel free to call us to schedule an appointment or walk in person for counseling. If you would like to study in Germany, you can join our Intensive German course and take the B1 examination at the Goethe Centre in Kathmandu. Upon successfully passing the B1 examination, you can submit your documents for processing for studying in Germany.
2. I am currently studying in Grade XII and I am not sure when the Grade XII examination will be held. I am thinking of learning German in order to prepare for studying in Germany after completing my examination. What should I do?
If you are at the moment, studying in Grade XII and waiting for your examination to take place, we recommend you to first prepare well for your Grade XII examination. Once you have taken your grade XII examination, you can start learning German and complete the B1 level of German language till your examination results are out. The period in between your Grade XII Examination and your results is one of the best times for preparing for German language in order to study in Germany. Your results will be out by the time you complete your B1 level and once you have passed the B1 examination, you can submit your documents for processing of the university and visa application.
3. What is the difference between Intensive and Standard German courses?
The basic difference is in the objective of the course. Intensive German courses are for students who want to study German taught programs in Germany whereas standard German courses are for students who want to study English taught Bachelor/Master programs in Germany. Intensive German courses are a bit more lengthy and more power-packed and contain more grammatical training and technical aspects of German language which is required for studies at a university. Standard German courses are light in nature and focus on mainly the spoken or communication German to help students adjust and get used to their day to day life in Germany and to find part time jobs.
4. What is the cost of the Intensive German course per level?
The cost of Standard German course is NRs 12430/- per level for books and materials per level.
5. Are there any other fees apart from the course fees and the books and materials?
There are no other fees for internal examinations or anything such apart from the course fees and the cost of books.
6. I have completed A1 at another institute. Am I eligible to join the A2 Intensive German course at Logik Sprachzentrum?
Yes, you are eligible to join our A2 Intensive German course at Logik Sprachzentrum, however you must take a placement test if you have not passed Start Deutsch 1. The placement test is free of cost and it helps to determine your German language proficiency level. If you fail to pass the test or your German language proficiency is not upto A2 requirement, you will have to repeat an ongoing A1 course (for a subsidised fee) before you can start the A2 course.
7. What is the length of the Intensive German course?
The length of the Standard German course is 8 weeks.
8. What is the duration of the classes per day?
The duration of the classes is 3 hours per day or 4 teaching units of 45 minutes each with classes running from Sunday to Friday.
9. Are there any discounts in the course fees for groups?
Usually there are no discounts for individual applicants, however Logik Sprachzentrum offers a 10 percent discount to students who come in groups of 2 or more students and get admission on the same day.
10. Do I get a certificate of participation at the end of the course?
Yes, we offer a certificate of participation free of cost for students who complete the course at least with 80 percent attendance and pass all the chapter tests and internal examinations in our German course. Students who have attendance less than 80 percent or fail the internal and or chapter tests are not eligible to receive a certificate of participation even though they have completed the course.
11. What will happen if I fail the A1 final examination at Logik Sprachzentrum?
It is very unlikely that you will fail the final examination of A1 German course if you are regular in the course and allocate at least 2-3 hours of self studies at home. Due to unforeseen circumstances in case you fail the final examination of A1 German course, you are eligible to repeat the A1 course at a discount of 40% on the course fees for Intensive German course.
12. How can I get admitted in the Intensive German Course?
You can apply online on our website and pay the course fees in person or deposit in our bank account to confirm your place in our German course or alternatively you can visit us in person and complete the paper based application form followed by course fee payment at the reception. It is important that you come along with a copy of your passport of citizenship certificate and 2 passport size photos or you can later submit once your class starts.
13. What is the admission requirement for the A1 course?
There are no such admission requirements since our German language courses are not university courses but language training courses, however we strongly recommend you to have at least 8th grade English which will allow you to have an overview or comparative understanding of German language in the A1 level. Apart from the basic English requirement, it is important that you have a good learning attitude and regular study habits at home to be successful in our German language course.
